An Innovative Winery Pioneering the Future of Sardinia

Luogosanto, the heart of the Gallura region in northeastern Sardinia, Italy. This area, surrounded by granite hills and Mediterranean winds, is renowned for producing Vermentino di Gallura, Sardinia's only DOCG.
In this special land, Siddùra was born as a winery aiming to showcase the new potential of Sardinian wine to the world.
Siddùra is not just an emerging winery.
It is an innovator in Sardinia, believing in the purity of the land and awakening its dormant terroir.
A New Challenge Beginning with Abandoned Vineyards

It all began with the discovery of an abandoned old vineyard nestled in a breathtakingly beautiful landscape.
German businessman Nathan Gottesdiener and Italian businessman Massimo Ruggiero recognized the potential of this land.
For the two, who shared a deep love for Sardinia, Siddùra was not just a business venture but also a challenge to embody the island's purity, simplicity, and respect for tradition.
Vermentino had been cultivated in this relatively high-altitude area since the 1940s, but its exceptional terroir was never truly appreciated.
Thus, with the clear intention of "producing high-quality wines that reflect the character of this land," Siddùra Winery was founded in 2008.
An Ideal Home for Vermentino, Nurtured by Sea and Mountains

The Siddùra estate spans 220 hectares, with 32 hectares managed as vineyards, producing approximately 250,000 bottles of wine annually.
The vineyards are located in a natural hilly area, only about 20km from the coastline and at an altitude of approximately 300m.
A significant characteristic of this region is its unique environment where the benefits of both sea and mountains coexist.
The Mistral wind from the Mediterranean blows through the vineyards, keeping the grapes dry and healthy, minimizing the need for chemical treatments.
Furthermore, the soil is a typical Gallura soil, consisting of fine granite mixed with sand and clay. This provides the wine with a mineral-rich structure, while the significant diurnal temperature variation and abundant sunshine foster an elegant and concentrated flavor.
The vineyards, cleared from the forest and carefully planted, embody the very essence of Sardinian nature.
Quality Born from the "Pursuit of Excellence"

Siddùra's philosophy is extremely clear: "The Pursuit of Excellence."
Since its founding, Siddùra has continuously strived for quality, perfection, and harmony.
For them, wine is a gift from nature.
They never compromise on producing high-quality wines, striving to bring out the maximum individuality of grapes nurtured by the Mediterranean sun and the bounty of the earth.
The wines born from this philosophy beautifully reflect the unique character of Sardinia in every glass.
A Young Genius Guiding Siddùra's Future

Siddùra is supported by approximately 20 young professionals.
The head of viticulture is Luca Vitaretti from Tuscany, a talented individual who studied at the University of Pisa and gained experience at the prestigious Antinori.
The head winemaker is Dino Dini, also from the University of Pisa, who gained experience at Gaja's "Ca’ Marcanda" in Bolgheri and at Santadi.
Both in their early 40s, they actively exchange ideas and guide the winery into the future.
Siddùra does not hire external consultants. Trusting and nurturing young talent is another philosophy that Siddùra aims to pass on to the future.
