Product Details

Single-vineyard Amarone made with traditional methods. Rich, spicy, and powerful flavor. Can be aged for over 20 years.

Classification: Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG

Grape varieties: Corvina 70%, Rondinella 20%, Molinara 10% (Serego Alighieri clone / average vine age 33-38 years)

Tasting: 48 days of fermentation and 3 years in oak barrels, 4 months in cherry barrels. Deep crimson with high viscosity. Aromas of cinnamon and vanilla with rich spirits-soaked fruit. A full-bodied wine with many layers. This iconic wine is born from Vajo Armaron, a historic single vineyard considered the birthplace of Amarone. It boasts concentrated fruit aromas of ripe black cherry, dried prunes, and raisins, intertwined with notes of cocoa, licorice, spices, and a hint of earthy and herbal nuances, exuding a profound aroma. On the palate, a rich extract and supple tannins unfold, beautifully harmonizing the mature fruitiness and balanced acidity characteristic of the 2012 vintage. With its strength, elegance, and depth, this wine truly embodies the essence of Amarone, leaving a long-lasting finish. The sweetness of baked fruits leads to coffee flavors with almonds and cocoa. The rich flavor transitions to a soft, dry finish.

Winemaking method:Wine made using the traditional appassimento method (drying grapes). Grapes are carefully harvested in late September or early October and air-dried on special bamboo racks in a well-ventilated room until early February. They are then gently pressed, and the semi-dried grapes are partially destemmed and aged in Slavonian oak. The wine then continues to ferment until the sugar is completely converted to alcohol, after which malolactic fermentation takes place. It is aged for 3 years in Slavonian oak barrels (6-20 hl) and then for 4 months in cherry barrels.

Pairing:Red meat, game, cheeses like Parmigiano, meditation wine
