Product Details

La Segreta takes its name from the "La Segreta Forest" that surrounds the Ulmo vineyards. It is made exclusively from Grillo grapes from Planeta's own vineyards, cultivated with passion for centuries and following sustainable and organic farming protocols. It is an attractive wine with well-developed, rich aromas and flavors. The label uses 100% FSC recycled paper and alternative fibers. The bottle is also produced using 100% recycled glass obtained from separate collection within Sicily. This glass is manufactured at a glass factory in Marsala, the only glass factory in the region. By choosing recycled glass, a short supply chain, and a lightweight bottle (only 410g), the carbon footprint during bottling and transport can be significantly reduced. La Segreta is not only delicious, but also a wine that is kind to both people and the planet.

The artwork on the label is inspired by Giuseppe Riggio, a renowned Sicilian naturalist who produced botanical atlases with poetic and accurate depictions of 19th-century Sicilian flora, leading to a graphic design that demonstrates Planeta's deep respect for the regional environment. Planeta always holds gratitude and pride for their island, Sicily, and through this La Segreta wine, expresses a special bond with nature, and with the rich and generous land of Sicily.

The new label features various Sicilian herbs and flowers, expressing the powerful beauty of nature. It is a strong, mysterious beauty that only those who understand its greatness can truly appreciate. The hope is that each time you pour "La Segreta" into your glass, your respect and love for nature will be further enriched.
