Product Details
The first vintage was 1998. This wine was created by the current owners, the children, in dedication to their founder, Livio Felluga. It is a masterpiece blending three grape varieties that, like Livio, possess elegance, strength, and integrity. This is a dry white wine with an exquisite balance of acidity and fruitiness.
Appellation: Friuli Colli Orientali DOC
Grape Varieties: Pinot Bianco 85%, Chardonnay 12%, Picolit 3%
Tasting Notes: Greenish straw color. Elegant aromas of white peach and candied citrus peel with hints of oak. It is a well-balanced blend of the nobility of Pinot Bianco, the volume of Chardonnay, and the sweetness of Picolit. The sweet lingering finish fills the mouth.
Winemaking Method: The grapes are destemmed and undergo approximately 8 hours of maceration at 12-14°C, then crushed. After soft pressing, the must is clarified by decantation. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled small French oak barrels, followed by approximately 10 months of aging sur lie. Minimum 2 months of bottle aging.
Pairing: Fish dishes, risotto, fresh cheese, etc.
