The third-generation Umberto Bella created this Alta Langa DOCG to express his passion for sparkling wine with secondary fermentation in the bottle. The 2020 VT was the first release. The 2021 VT won the Tre Bicchieri at the 2026 Gambero Rosso awards.

Grape variety: Chardonnay
Tasting: Straw yellow with golden nuances. Fine, persistent perlage. Elegant and refined aromas of Chardonnay brought out by extended aging harmonize with notes of bread crust and yeast. Dry and rich with umami, while the firm acidity provides structure. Delicate yet powerful.
Production method: After pressing, the juice is settled and clarified, then undergoes primary fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, it is aged on the lees with regular bâtonnage. The following spring, the cuvée is assembled by blending base wines from the same vintage, disgorged and bottled to initiate traditional secondary fermentation in the bottle. It is then aged on the lees for at least 30 months in a temperature-controlled cellar.
