Product Details
This is a powerful wine with a deep garnet color. It is a dry, harmonious, velvety, slow, full-bodied Barolo with a long-lasting bouquet, reminiscent of ether and tar, suitable for long aging.
Classification: Barolo DOCG
Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Tasting: Aged in barrels for 4 years, then bottled in March 1984. Concentrated brick red with nuances of ruby and orange. Powerful aromas of sous-bois, dried leaves, tobacco, and leather. Also hints of spice and vanilla. Soft and pleasant with a slight bitterness, a complex flavor. A very well-made vintage where tannins are still prominent.
Winemaking: Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature (23-25°C) for approximately two weeks. Maceration is followed by three rackings. Matured for a minimum of 3 years in large Slavonian oak barrels (varying in size and age, no new barrels are used). Lightly fined and filtered, then bottled. Bottle aging for a minimum of two years thereafter.
Pairing: Roasted or grilled red meats, game dishes
