Product Details
This is a powerful wine with a deep garnet color. It's a dry, harmonious, velvety, slow-full-bodied Barolo with a long, ethereal, tar-like bouquet, suitable for long aging.

Grape Variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Tasting: Aged for 1 year in tanks, then 3 years in barrels, and bottled in mid-September 1971. Garnet-red brick color. Strong woody aroma, dry plum, caramel, coffee, heavy leather, and burnt sugar. Soft, full-bodied with pleasant acidity. Vanilla and licorice notes on the finish. A balanced and exceptional vintage.
Winemaking Method: Alcoholic fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures (23-25°C) for approximately two weeks. Maceration is followed by three rackings. Matured for a minimum of three years in large Slavonian oak barrels (varying in size and age, no new barrels used). Lightly clarified and filtered, then bottled. Bottle aging for a minimum of two years.
