Campo alle Comete is a winery that creates imaginative wines in the Bolgheri region, where Feudi di San Gregorio, a leading winery in Southern Italy, has made a long-awaited entry. In Bolgheri, white grape production accounts for only 10% of the total, making it very rare. Bolgheri Vermentino is characterized by spicy and floral tones, and by blending early-harvested grapes with mature grapes, it results in a wine with a fresh yet rich flavor.

Grape Variety: Vermentino 100%

Tasting Notes: Bright, brilliant yellow color, aromas of grapefruit and florals, with prominent aromatic and fresh citrus notes. A pleasant and rich, fruity taste with fresh minerality and good balance.

Winemaking Method: Uses equal parts of early-harvested grapes picked in mid-August and grapes harvested two weeks later. Fermented in stainless steel tanks kept at 15°C. To retain freshness and add sweetness and alcohol volume, it is done for a short period with the lees. Then aged in the bottle for 2-3 months. Early-harvested grapes provide freshness, while mature grapes give the wine a rich fruitiness.
