Campo alle Comete is a winery that produces imaginative wines in the Bolgheri region, where Feudi di San Gregorio, a leading winery in Southern Italy, has made a full-scale entry. This wine boasts the characteristic balsamic tones of Bolgheri, such as eucalyptus and menthol, along with rounded, gentle tannins and a pleasant, long finish with salinity and minerality derived from the sea. It is a new-generation Bolgheri wine, expressing the terroir of Bolgheri without overpowering oak, offering gentle, soft, and sweet tannins.

Classification: Bolgheri Superiore DOC

Grape Varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon 45%, Merlot 40%, Cabernet Franc 10%, Petit Verdot 5%

Tasting: Dense ruby red, complex aromas of black cherry and red fruits, followed by balsamic tones of mint and dark cacao, harmoniously balanced with subtle herbal notes. Elegant and prominent, gentle tannins support the magnificent structure of this wine. It has an astonishingly long finish, beautiful volume, and a fresh, fruity, long mineral finish derived from the sea, bringing a soft impression and balance to the overall experience.

Winemaking: Each variety is vinified separately. Alcoholic fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks for 25 days. Aged for 15-18 months in medium-toast tonneau (both new and old barrels). Aged for 10-12 months in the bottle.
