Product Details

A complex aroma with notes of minerals and spices, and a lingering apricot-like finish. This elegant and robust wine is a superb match for high-end Japanese cuisine. Grapes are harvested from five vineyards at different altitudes and aspects, all with clay soils rich in active limestone, and fermented separately.

Classification: Castelli di Jesi Verdicchio Riserva DOCG

Grape Variety: 100% Verdicchio

Tasting Notes: This is a youthful, vibrant vintage with aromas of juicy white fruits and beeswax, which carry through to the palate. It features a long, elegant finish, lively acidity, and wonderful minerality. It is still very young, almost too good to open now. This vintage has the potential for long-term aging.

Winemaking: This wine is Bucci's special cuvée, made only in good years and from grapes harvested from the oldest vineyards. Grapes are hand-picked, then fermented and aged in underground cellars. For aging, stainless steel, and old Slavonian oak barrels (50hl) are used for a minimum of 18-24 months. Because old French oak and Slavonian oak barrels are used, the wine does not take on excessive oak aromas, resulting in a balanced flavor. Made using organic methods.

Pairing: Seafood dishes, oysters, Japanese cuisine, cheese, white meat dishes
