The Bay of Naples is so breathtakingly beautiful that it's said a devil tore off a piece of heaven and dropped it there. It's also said that Christ wept, mourning the loss of a piece of the beautiful blue sky, and from the land where his tears fell grew this wine, Lacryma Christi (meaning: Tears of Christ). The German poet Goethe, who visited Campania, is said to have praised this wine, exclaiming, "Why didn't Christ shed tears in Germany!" This is a versatile wine, representative of Southern Italy, and pairs well with a variety of dishes.

Grape Varieties: Falanghina 80%, Coda di Volpe 20%

Tasting Notes: Transparent and brilliant straw color, fresh aromas of fruit and citrus peel. Smooth and fresh taste supported by elegant minerality.

Winemaking: All grapes are hand-picked in late September. Aged for 3 months in stainless steel tanks, then a minimum of 1 month in the bottle.

Pairing: As an aperitif, with fish dishes, vegetables, antipasto, Japanese cuisine.
