商品詳細
This is the TOP wine from Frescobaldi, produced at Castello di Nipozzano in the Chianti Rufina region. In 1855, Vittorio, an ancestor of the Frescobaldi family, observed viticulture in Burgundy, France, and brought back Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot to Nipozzano. More than 100 years before the birth of modern "Super Tuscans," he was convinced that exceptional and extraordinary wines could be made without even looking at the potential of Nipozzano's terroir. It expresses the character of Tuscany. Mormoreto means "whisper." The Mormoreto vineyard is named because a very pleasant breeze blows through it, and the leaves meeting each other sound like "whispers."

Classification: Toscana IGT

Grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot

Tasting notes: A deep, rich, brilliant ruby red, with a slightly purplish hue at the rim. The complex aroma is inviting with red berries, spices, wild blackberries, blueberries, dark cherries, dried plums, and dates, followed by sensual notes of violet and wild rose. Further, more fragrant notes of vanilla, cocoa powder, roasted coffee beans, and balsamic emerge. Fine, silky tannins and a warm, extremely smooth texture contribute significantly to the overall impression. Lively acidity, with all encompassing elements harmoniously integrated into the structure with exquisite balance. Enjoy the rich fruitiness and a long, seemingly endless finish.

Winemaking method: Fermented separately for each grape variety. After 15 days of fermentation in stainless steel tanks maintained at 35°C, followed by 20 days of maceration with the skins, and malolactic fermentation. Aged for 24 months in oak barriques (some new, the rest in second-year barrels), followed by 6 months of bottle aging.

Pairing: All long-simmered meat dishes such as stews, and aged cheeses.
