商品詳細
While it was locally believed to be an Aglianico vineyard for some time, investigations revealed that it was Merlot, brought from France in the 19th century to escape the phylloxera blight. This Merlot, grown in the high-altitude, cool Irpinia region, is extremely unique and distinctive. Interpreted by Feudi di San Gregorio, this wine is consistently cited as a benchmark for high-quality Merlot in Italy.
Appellation: Campania Rosso IGT
Grape Variety: 100% Merlot
Tasting Notes: Aromas of sweet spices, eucalyptus, vanilla, coffee, and wild blackberries. Dense tannins and excellent overall balance. The finish is long, with lingering fruit, spice, and roasted coffee notes.
