This is a powerful wine with a deep garnet color. It's a Barolo suitable for long aging, with a lingering bouquet reminiscent of ether and tar, dry, harmonious, velvety, and full-bodied.
Classification: Barolo DOCG
Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo
Tasting: Aged in tanks for 2 years, then in barrels for 3 years, followed by bottling in July 1967. Orange-red brick color. Complex aroma with a mix of caramel and spices. The taste is rich, mellow, and pleasant. A very soft, smooth, and aromatic vintage.
Winemaking method: Alcoholic fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature (23-25°) for about two weeks. Maceration, followed by three rackings. Aged for a minimum of three years in large Slavonian oak barrels (varying in size and age, but no new barrels are used). Lightly fined and filtered, then bottled. Followed by a minimum of two years of bottle aging.
