【Great Cru – Cannubi】
The soil of the Cannubi vineyard was formed by marine sediments that covered the Po River plain 11 million years ago. It is the most renowned and highly regarded Cru of Barolo, with its name appearing in historical documents from the 1700s.
Cannubi, where the clay-limestone soil and highly favorable climate create a terroir that yields wines of incredible complexity, is one of the world's most suitable places for viticulture. Within the Barolo region, it produces wines of exceptional character, noted for their elegance and excellent aging potential.
Borgogno owns a 1.3-hectare vineyard here, located on a south-facing slope at an altitude of 290-320 meters.
