商品詳細
Masi produces an Amarone-method wine in Argentina. It is a blend of appassimento-dried Corvina and Malbec, aged for 18 months in medium-toast French barriques. This unique and captivating wine combines aromas of ripe fruit with the distinctive herbaceous notes of Malbec.
Classification: Rosso di Argentina
Grape varieties: Corvina 70%, Malbec 30%
Tasting: A complex yet well-balanced wine that is powerful and elegant. The characteristics of Corvina, such as dried cherry aromas and a smooth texture, are well expressed, and the vibrant tannins unique to Malbec add to its appeal, creating a truly unique and fascinating aroma and taste.
Winemaking: Carefully selected grapes are dried for 22 days on wooden racks, mimicking the "arelle" of Veneto. The grapes lose about 30% of their weight, concentrating their sugar and aroma. They are then gently pressed and destemmed, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 16°C for 30 days. After racking, selected yeasts are added, and fermentation continues for another 35 days at 18°C. Aging takes place for 18 months in medium-toasted French oak barrels. Each variety is vinified separately and then blended before bottling.
Pairing: Similar to Amarone, it is ideal for richly flavored dishes. Serve with grilled or roasted red meats and game dishes.
