This wine is a blend of Nero d'Avola, Sicily's most important grape variety, and Nocera, an indigenous variety grown only in Messina, in northeastern Sicily. This wine, which was recorded in ancient writings by Pliny and loved by Caesar, derives its appellation from the historical fact that it was produced by the Mamertini people in Milazzo. It possesses rich minerality and elegance derived from the Sicilian sea, offering a deeply relaxing experience. It is also known as "Warrior's Wine" because Caesar favored it before battle.

Grape Varieties: Nero d'Avola 70%, Nocera 30%
Tasting Notes: Bright, intense ruby red with a violet tinge, aromas of Mediterranean herbs, fresh cherry and wild cherry, along with liquorice and exotic spices characteristic of Nocera. Elegant and mellow fruitiness with edgy tannins beautifully integrated with nuances of oak and acidity.
Production Method: Grapes are destemmed, maceration takes place in stainless steel tanks at 25°C for 14 days, followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Aged for 12 months in 35hl French oak barrels.
