商品詳細
This powerful yet refined wine is born from approximately 40-year-old Pinot Grigio vines grown in the single, panoramic vineyard known as "Curubella." It is Livio Felluga's first amphora-aged wine, matured in amphorae made from Cocciopesto, an ancient Roman earth material.
Classification: Friuli Colli Orientali DOC
Grape Variety: 100% Pinot Grigio
Tasting Notes:
Golden color, reflecting the skin of Pinot Grigio. Aromas of jasmine and herbs with an accent of white pepper, followed by sweet notes of apricot and melon. The palate is powerful, with candied citrus and floral undertones. A long finish of acacia honey and cream lingers.
Winemaking Method:
Hand-picked grapes undergo two days of skin maceration before being transferred to 10-17 HL amphorae made of Cocciopesto, an ancient Roman earth material, for the final stage of fermentation. Malolactic fermentation also takes place. This is Livio Felluga's first amphora-aged wine, matured in amphorae on its lees for approximately one year.
Pairing: Seared scallops with pea sauce, Romanesco risotto, shrimp tartare, ricotta and beetroot ravioli, pumpkin risotto, white meat dishes, etc.
