商品詳細
For some time, it was believed locally to be an Aglianico vineyard, but investigations revealed that it was Merlot, brought from France in the 19th century to escape the phylloxera plague.
Rating: Campania Rosso IGT
Grape variety: 100% Merlot
Tasting: Deep, dark ruby color. Concentrated fruit aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry are layered with nuances of sweet spice, eucalyptus, vanilla, coffee beans, and dark chocolate. On the palate, the fruit density is very high, and the ripe tannins are fine-grained yet smooth. The sweetness of the fruit, spices, and roasted aromas are wonderfully integrated, forming a rich body and excellent balance. The finish is very long, with lingering fruit, spice, and coffee notes, making this Patrimo a dignified and profound wine that eloquently speaks to the potential of Bordeaux varietals in Campania.
Winemaking method: After hand-harvesting, destemming and crushing, maceration and alcoholic fermentation take place in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is carried out in wooden barrels. Aged for at least 18 months in medium-toasted French oak barriques. Aged for 48 months in bottle.
Pairing: Roasted red meat, aged cheeses, etc.
