商品詳細

This Italian wine is known for being the most internationally awarded in the 19th century and for significantly influencing later Italian winemaking. It continues to tell the story of the birth and history of Italy's finest wines to this day. It has received numerous awards both domestically and internationally, including nine Grand Prizes, seven gold medals, and two silver cups, from locations such as London, Berlin, Vienna, Brussels, Milan, Rome, Palermo, and Catania.

The terraced vineyards are located at an altitude of 800m on volcanic soil, using pre-phylloxera Cabernet Franc vines over 150 years old. The training system is Alberello.

Because this wine is produced in a castle completely isolated from the outside world, not much information about it reaches the public even in today's information age, making it a true treasure of Etna. Alessio Planeta of Planeta Winery, who has earned the absolute trust of the reclusive owner family, is helping to share this wine, which tells an important part of Etna's history, with the world.

Classification: Sicilia IGT

Grape varieties: Cabernet Franc 80%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10%, Merlot 10%

Production method: Fermented in conical French oak barrels, aged for 24 months in French oak (Allier, Tronçais) barriques, and a minimum of 4 years in the bottle.

Pairing: All types of meat dishes, game, aged cheeses.
