商品詳細
The history of Etna is intertwined with the historic eruptions that have shaped it. The legendary eruption of 1614 was the longest on record, lasting ten years and stopping just at the border of the Sciaranuova vineyard. The name of this wine comes from that Etna eruption. Carricante and a small amount of Riesling, grown in high-altitude black soil, give it a fresh and flavorful minerality.
Classification: Sicilia DOC
Grape Varieties: Carricante, Riesling
Tasting Notes: This wine boasts a clear and brilliant lemon-yellow color, characterized by a fresh, mineral-rich quality derived from its volcanic soil and high altitude. It offers aromas of green apple, white flowers, and honey, with subtle hints of minerality and mint. With balanced acidity and a fresh taste, it provides an enjoyable finish.
Production Method: This wine is primarily made from the indigenous Carricante grape, harvested in October from vineyards at an altitude of 870m above sea level. The grapes are gently pressed to avoid damage, without destemming. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at 15℃ for 20 days. The wine then rests on its lees, with frequent stirring, until February, before being bottled.
Pairing: Omelets, oysters, seafood, Japanese cuisine
