This still wine is crafted by Ferrari, the pinnacle of Italian sparkling wine producers. It is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet, Merlot, and other indigenous varieties grown in the heart of the hilly region near Pisa. This unique wine is rich in minerals derived from the sea. (Organic certified)
Classification: Costa Toscana IGT
Grape Varieties: Sangiovese 60%, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and other auxiliary varieties 40%
Tasting Notes: Brilliant ruby red color with an elegant aroma of cherries, brandy-soaked fruits, herbs, and mineral tones. A very elegant and rich wine with pleasant tannins and acidity. The name comes from a wealthy merchant who dominated the hilly area near Pisa in the Middle Ages. This is a rare Sangiovese wine grown on the Tuscan coast.
Winemaking: Maceration for 10-15 days, fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 28°C. Aged for 12 months in barriques, then 4 months in bottle.
