The beautiful, azure Bay of Naples is said to be a piece of heaven that the devil cut off and dropped into the bay. It is said that Christ, saddened by the loss of a part of the beautiful blue sky, shed tears, and from the land where those tears fell, this wine, Lacryma Christi (meaning: Tears of Christ), was born. It is also said that the German poet Goethe, who visited Campania, praised this wine, saying, "Why didn't Christ shed tears in Germany!" It is a versatile wine representative of Southern Italy, pairing well with various dishes.

Classification: Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio DOC

Grape varieties: Aglianico 80%, Piedirosso 20%

Tasting: Calm ruby red, fresh berry aroma. It features pleasant sweet tannins and a fresh, smooth taste.

Winemaking method: Volcanic soil. Harvested from mid to late October. Aged for 4 months in stainless steel tanks and a minimum of 2 months in bottles.

Pairing: Vegetable dishes, simple meat dishes, etc.
