Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, harvested in Friuli, are aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels. Spicy aromas and concentrated fruity aromas are intricately blended. It has a fruity taste with a good balance of tannins and acidity.

Classification: Venezia Giulia IGT

Grape varieties: Merlot 60%, Cabernet Sauvignon 40%

Tasting comments: Complex and concentrated aromas with fruit and spice. Aromas of prune, raspberry, blackberry, black pepper, tobacco leaf, and coffee. The structure is firm yet soft, and the sweet tannins are balanced with the acidity. It is rich in fruit with a slightly spicy finish.

Winemaking: Grapes are destemmed and crushed. Maceration with skin contact in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. Fermentation for about 3 weeks with pump-overs. Color, aromas, and other components are sufficiently extracted from the skins. Then, aged for 12 months in stainless steel tanks and French oak barrels. After bottling, bottle aging for at least 4 months in a temperature-controlled cellar.

Pairing: Pasta and rice dishes, grilled and stewed meat dishes (beef, roast pork, lamb, goat, etc.), moderately aged cheeses
