La Segreta takes its name from the "La Segreta Forest" that surrounds the Ulmo vineyards. It uses only Nero d'Avola from Planeta's own vineyards, cultivated with passion for centuries and following sustainable and organic farming protocols. It is an attractive wine with well-developed, rich aromas and flavors. The label uses 100% FSC recycled paper and alternative fibers. The bottle is also produced using 100% recycled glass obtained from separate collection within Sicily. This glass is manufactured at a glass factory in Marsala, the only one in the region. By choosing recycled glass, a short supply chain, and a lightweight bottle (only 410g), a significant reduction in carbon emissions during the bottling and transportation stages can be achieved. La Segreta is not only delicious but also a wine that shows consideration for both people and the planet.

The artwork on the label is inspired by Giuseppe Riggio, a famous Sicilian naturalist who created botanical atlases with poetic and accurate depictions of 19th-century Sicilian flora, leading to a graphic design that demonstrates Planeta's deep respect for the regional environment. Planeta always holds gratitude and pride for their island, Sicily, and through this La Segreta wine, they express a special bond with nature and with Sicily, a rich and generous land of blessings.

The new label features various Sicilian herbs and flowers, expressing the powerful beauty of nature. It is a strong and mysterious beauty that only those who understand its grandeur can truly appreciate. The hope is that every time La Segreta is poured into a glass, respect and love for nature will be further enriched.
